F-Gas regulations
As a market leader in automotive air conditioning, Autoclimate is committed to its responsibilities on compliance and legislative requirements.

 

With the company’s wide ranging knowledge and expertise, Autoclimate was selected by the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) to provide expert input throughout the DEFRA consultation process that ultimately shaped the implementation of the F-Gas regulations. As a consequence, the company is uniquely qualified to provide Refrigerant Handling Certification for its customers and to advise on new legislation and MAC (mobile air conditioning) technologies more info


HFO-1234yf refrigerant
Autoclimate is working closely with A/C servicing equipment and gas suppliers, vehicle manufacturers and customers to support the introduction of the new HFO-1234yf refrigerant.

 

This new gas has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 4 – the maximum is 150, its lifespan if released to atmosphere is 11 days compared with 13 years for R134a. Autoclimate is pro-actively supporting the adoption of HFO-1234yf A/C servicing equipment by workshops and repairers as more and more vehicles with the gas are introduced.
